Welcome to Bardon Anglican Church Website! We are excited that you are checking us out. Whether you are looking for a new church with different styles of worship, a pastoral service of some kind in the community, or simply exploring the Christian faith – this is the place to be.
Welcome from our Locum:
When you arrive at Bardon Anglican Church you will find hearts that are always open wide to those who come, so we hope you find the experience warm and inviting enough to want to come again. Our Church aims to be a faithful, passionate and adventurous church committed to serving the wider community and reaching out to the world with the love of Christ. Our Sunday worship services express this love for Christ and one another, in the freedom of contemporary and traditional worship styles and lively expressions of the faith. Our home and other small groups offer an encouraging and nurturing place where members and newcomers can get to know one another at a more caring and personal level.
New to the Christian life?
Maybe you have never been to church before? Or maybe you have in the past and it was a bit strange. We simply invite you to come along and try it out for the first time. We are a welcoming community, with people who aren’t perfect but strive to love and care for one another.
What does it mean to be a Christian?
Being a Christian means starting an awesome relationship with God. What we mean by this is saying to God “I have done wrong in my life and I want to connect with you and know your love through your son Jesus Christ.” It is like any other relationship you might have say with your parents or your friends but you know God will always be there for you and will always love you. If you are interested in learning more about this relationship come along to church, a home group or a friendly free Church lunch held twice a month on a Sunday.
Our motto “SET FREE TO SERVE” expresses our vision to be a community characterised by:
- Joyful Worship,
- Strong commitment to each other;
- Exercising Gifts of the Holy Spirit and prayer;
- Being equipped to fulfil our calling to reach the world for Christ.
We are Christians who believe in the sovereignty of God, the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit; Anglicans who are part of the Diocese of Brisbane, Province of Queensland and the National Church, having associations with Anglicans throughout the world.
